Brazil: Fufeng plans USD 400m amino acids plant
Fufeng Group is planning to invest ~USD 400m into its first bio-fermentation plant in South America to produce amino acids from corn. The plant will have the capacity to process 660'000 t/a Corn.
The group's senior representatives have repeatedly visited officials from the Federation of Industries of Mato Grosso (Fiemt) and the Secretariat for Economic Development of the State of Mato Grosso (Sedec).
Fufeng is still looking for the ideal location such as the cities of Sorriso, Lucas do Rio Verde, Nova Mutum, Rondonópolis or Cáceres.
Another international expansion project in Grand Forks, USA, has been stopped amid political considerations in early 2023.
