EFSA published new safety and efficacy opinions. For Endo-1,4-beta-xylanase and Endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase of Adisseo France produced with Talaromyces versatilis IMI 378536 and DSM 26702 as a feed additive for weaned piglets, EFSA could not conclude on its efficacy despite additional data being provided.

In the case of 6-Phytase (Quantum® Blue) of ROAL Oy, produced by fermentation with a genetically modified strain of Trichoderma reesei, EFSA concluded that it is efficacious for fin fish.

EFSA concluded that Saccharomyces cerevisiae DSM 34246 (Canobios-BL) of ACEL Pharma, is considered to be efficacious for dogs and cats.

In the case of the feed additive Avizyme® 1505 of Danisco (UK), consisting of Endo-1,4-β-xylanase (produced with Trichoderma reesei CBS 143953), Subtilisin (produced with Bacillus subtilis CBS 143946) and α-Amylase (produced with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CBS 143954), EFSA concluded that it is effective for poultry at specified dosages.

For α-Amylase of Amano Enzyme, produced with the non-genetically modified microorganism Bacillus licheniformis strain AE-TA, EFSA concluded that this food enzyme does not give rise to safety concerns.

EFSA concluded that Sucrose phosphorylase of c‐LEcta, produced with the genetically modified Escherichia coli strain LE1B109‐pPB129, does not give rise to safety concerns under the intended conditions of use.
