L-Lysine: Evonik launches new generation of Biolys® for animal nutrition

Evonik has launched a new generation ofBiolys® L-Lysine sulfate for animal nutrition, produced through fermentationconverting dextrose from corn into L-Lysine, with one of the lowest carbonfootprints and a 62.4% L-Lysine (an 80% ratio to Lysine HCI) compared to 60%L-Lysine in the current version (a 77% ratio to Lysine HCI).

The product also contains a biomassresulting from the fermentation process – additional nutrients and energy thatfurther benefit animal production. Biolys® is produced at Evonik's sites inBrazil (Castro, Paraná) and in the United States (Blair, Nebraska) and mainlyserves markets in the Americas, but also in the Middle East and Africa.
